This is a role for an engineer who enjoys the difficult middle: incomplete data, delayed events, external limits, and jobs that need to recover cleanly. Your decisions will help sellers understand where their information came from and what needs attention.
What you’ll do
- Build resilient seller integrations
- Design retries, reconciliation, and observability
- Document data behavior and integration limits
- Define data mappings and document source-specific behavior.
- Build reconciliation workflows that detect gaps and preserve history.
- Improve tools for tracing failures and recovering affected records.
What you’ll bring
- Experience with marketplace or commerce APIs
- Strong distributed workflow fundamentals
- Comfort working with incomplete external data
- Experience with API integrations, queues, and operational monitoring.
- Practical knowledge of rate limits, pagination, and eventual consistency.
- Strong attention to permission boundaries and credential handling.
