The role combines platform engineering with strong customer empathy. You’ll think through permissions, billing behavior, data synchronization, and onboarding so merchants understand what the app is doing and can trust it to keep working.
What you’ll do
- Build merchant-facing app experiences
- Design maintainable catalog, order, and billing integrations
- Improve reliability, onboarding, and developer tooling
- Design onboarding that gets merchants to their first useful outcome quickly.
- Handle webhooks, limits, and API changes without silent data loss.
- Work through real support cases to improve the underlying experience.

- Experience with embedded merchant interfaces and storefront integrations.
- An understanding of asynchronous events, reconciliation, and safe retries.
